At Farthings, all of our ironwork will be supplied in a black primer as standard. The ironwork will need to be treated soon after installation with a metal preserving paint such as Hammerite. This process will need to be repeated every few years to preserve the metal and keep away rust.
If painting doesn’t sound good to you, for an extra cost we can have your ironwork either Zinc rich primed and polyester powder coated or Hot dipped zinc galvanised and polyester powder coated. This process will provide long lasting protection against the elements and comes in a variety of different colours and gloss levels.
