At Farthings we offer a highly personalised and bespoke service. Client satisfaction not only with the finished product but also with the management of the project is key to what sets us apart from other companies.
We provide full project management, overseeing the entire installation in order to ensure that the service we provide comply with the highest standards. All our wrought iron style gates and railings are finished with the greatest attention to detail. They are supplied with a factory-standard black primed finish, ready for over-coating with a durable enamel paint prior to attaching any fittings or exposing to the elements. Or if you prefer not to have us paint your gates and railings, we can supply them with a hard-wearing power coat finish.

Case Study
Single Electric Gate
Brief: To produce and install a large single electric sliding gate for client’s driveway entrance in Benfleet. Client has a keen interest in canons that he wanted incorporated into the design.
How we accomplished it: The first stage was a site visit to measure the area where the gate would be installed and also the installation of the track for the gate to slide on in order to get the correct measurements for the gate. The client chose a design from our catalogue, in this instance the Ashworth Gate. Using our CAD programs we customised it to incorporate the canons and presented the client with three choices. Once client was happy with the design we went into production to fabricate the gate which measured approx 4.5m across with a height of 2m at the ends rising to 2.5m in the centre. Upon completion of the fabrication of the gate it was galvanised and polyester powder coated to protect it against the elements. Installation was completed and the gate linked to the electrical motor so the gate could slide open.
Completion time: 8 weeks from initial site visit to installation.
